History: Meadow Lane Farms has been in the Leonard Family since the early 20th century. It is located in Franklin County, NC, forty miles northeast of Durham. The farm contains an 18th century home and large mule and grain barns constructed in the 1920’s. The farm produces pasture based all natural Angus beef in the Mapleville Community of the county. The cattle are raised on the farm and tracked from birth until harvest. You can come visit our award winning Angus cattle and Boer meat goats. Our animals are all raised on rolling pasture land, never fed antibiotics nor given growth hormones. We are a “closed” herd. We do NOT purchase animals from outside the herd to grow out and sell. We raise our own replacement female cattle and purchase the best Angus bulls throughout the United States with DNA testing for carcass characteristics including tenderness.

You are welcome to visit the farm any time by appointment. Beef and Chevon can be purchased at the wonderful Durham Farmers’ Market and at the farm by appointment, as well. In addition, every September and October, we open the farm for school groups for educational tours. Thank you for your continued support of our family farm!
