double bucks program

The Durham Farmers’ Market is committed to increasing access to fresh, local food for ALL families and individuals in our community. We currently accept SNAP/EBT and offer Double Bucks for all SNAP/EBT, WIC & Senior FMNP, SUN Bucks, and cash match transactions.

Update for October 2026: Recent grant funding for the Double Bucks program ended in September 2026. The Durham Farmers’ Market is still offering Double Bucks, but there is a cap of $50 per customer each week in matching funds. We are actively seeking new funding through charitable grants, business sponsorships, and community fundraisers.

who is eligible?

Double Bucks is a nutrition incentive program that matches Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/EBT) benefits, WIC and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) vouchers, and SUN Bucks. This means that if a customer spends $10 using their EBT card, then they will receive $20 worth of tokens to spend at the market.

We also offer a cash matching program for SNAP recipients, WIC clients, and community members who live in public housing. Simply pay with cash or a credit/debit card, and we’ll double the amount you spend in tokens. For more information, visit the info table or contact info@durhamfarmersmarket.com.
